There's a love/hate relationship with this robe (size large--I am 5'6'' 156 lbs 36C).It's soft and beautiful, and it keeps me warm. It also fits my unusually long arms and my shoulder width. I do like there are 4 loops for the tie (two on the right, two on the left) so you can adjust how high or how low you want your tie. And you can use the pockets, they are fully functional... but I have some problems with this...If you have a belly, a butt, and hips, this will not stay closed. And I mean even the smallest size hips/butt! There's just not enough material to wrap around you enough if you happen to have a bit of a belly, or some form of hips, or anything but a flat butt! The robes flare open toward the bottom, and your legs would do a peek-a-boo. But if you have no intention to look sexy in this and rather stay warm, this will frustrate you. Your legs would come out as you walk or go up some steps. I also cannot image anyone with wide hips fitting in a robe like this. Once I try to sit, everything is exposed because it opens up. This robe should have been made with this in mind---women are shapely, and not everyone is designed like a stick. This is unfortunate, because coverage was my priority.The tie also does not stay closed. I have better knot security in robes made of plush. Not sure if the microfibers are causing the tie to become undone--the material is quite velvet-like. I also have not washed the robes yet because I doubt I will keep it.I don't think an X-Large would give me the coverage I need without sacrificing the fit of my arms and shoulder width. I normally like size Large because I like to feel like I'm being wrapped in a blanket without looking like I'm wearing clothes made for a giant. An X-Large would most likely give me too much arm length while still being to skimpy on the material to wrap me in full (this is my assumption).I hope this helps people interested in the robe. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to cover yourself, but if you're only looking for something to throw on when you run outside real quick, then this is ok.
