Even though I experienced some ordering difficulties I do love this robe. It is oversized but I like the feeling of being cocooned and cozy in a bathrobe. The fabric is thinner than I thought but I actually prefer this weight...no heavy feeling on my neck and shoulders and it is not flimsy by any means. I have not washed it yet but I am hoping it will hold up fine; it seems to be well made. All in all, I am happy with the purchase, less than happy with the awful customer service which, as far as I can tell, does not care about making their customers satisfied, just about pointing fingers and assigning blame. Funny thing is I would order from them again since the quality of the robe is the most important part of the transaction.I struggled with whether to give this a 3 or 4. I did return it and go for another (there are so many robe companies selling on Amazon under weird/vague headings and product descriptions!). This was soft. Cotton Terry Velour (important as it is absorbant and the fabric won't "pull" like Terry Loop. But the fit was off for me. Very broad shoulder seams that came way down on my upper arm. I did like that the neckline wasn't foldover (shaw) style which made it less bulky. But the shoulder seams made it not as good as another I ordered. It didn't sound like from comments that a smaller size would have mattered and would have made it shorter than I wanted.I think I could not find a better gift for my father. He loved it. It is soft and looks luxurious. Daddy is happy and me too :)If there was an embroidery option for this product I would definitely consider ordering it.
